Platinum Wheels are experts at rolling guards. From your basic street car with bigger wheels, all the way through to full on drift spec setups. We have rolled 100’s of guards on cars and will always do the best job we possibly can on your car!
Today it’s all about wheel fitment, as you push the limits of fitment further and further you will come across the problem of tyres rubbing on the inner guard of the car. By simply heating up the steel with a heat gun then using our special fender re-forming tool we can actually shape the steel up flat so that it wont pose a threat to your tyres.

First step of the assessment is a brief pre-alignment road test. Then your car is hoisted up in the Platinum Wheels workshop and connected to an electronic device which reads the vehicle's current alignment - or lack of it! Correct geometry is achieved through a series of adjustments on each wheel to ensure the computerised reading meets the vehicle manufacturer's standards.
After this fine tuning, another road test is done to confirm that the alignment is back on track and road-worthy. At the completion of the service, you'll be given a print-out of the wheel alignment machine's readings and an explanation of which corrections have been made.
Platinum Wheels have the industry standard tyre equipment, Corgi are Italian made machines are are built to last. Because of these machines and the care and attention to detail of our highly experienced technicians, many of our customers now only use us when they need new tyres fitted and balanced. Our technicians are all trained to fit the very expensive 2 and 3 piece race wheels that are commonly found on race cars and high end builds.
Wheel Balancing: Correct wheel balance on your car is very important. Unbalanced wheels can cause your tyres to wear prematurely, as well as causing accelerated wear of your shock absorbers, struts and steering components. All this can seriously affect your car’s overall performance, comfort and driveability. We only use the best quality steel weights (environmentally friendly) and take the time to make sure every wheel is perfect before it goes back onto your car!
Corner Weighting involves adjusting the weight balance of the vehicle, as often with race applications there is a gap between what should be and what is. In an ideal world the car will have 50/50 split of weight, and all things being equal it will handle corners at the best of its ability.
All this can seriously affect your car’s overall performance, comfort and driveability. We only use the best quality steel weights (environmentally friendly) and take the time to make sure every wheel is perfect before it goes back onto your car!
